More Movie Magic
Here is a behind the scenes shot from the Terror of Colorado Blvd. Ken had lots of time to remember to shoot a BTS shot this time because Larry forgot to bring the white gardenias to plant in the flowerbed and the drill bits needed to plant the palm trees got left at home too.
You see our reliable, versatile, dirt base with additional dirt and a new gravel driveway. The white gravel material is supposed to be used to line your hamster cage. It might make a nice, white sand beach someday too. In retrospect, a few pink Flamingoes added to the “lawn” would have been nice.
We shot this series of shots at Crown Hill Park, a semi-wild area on the west side of town, adjacent to a huge cemetery also called Crown Hill. There was a move to civilize the park a few years back, add ball fields, that sort of thing. Citizens rose up and said no. If you are there walking at dawn or dusk, you can see coyotes and other wildlife. The Diner shot with Cougars, the T-bucket with Indian Motorcycle and both Chevys by the lake were all shot at Crown Hill Park as joggers and Mom’s with strollers walked by. We even met an animator, who was fascinated by what we were doing.
Expect more from this location down the road.
By the way, as of this posting, no one has given a correct answer to the songs associated with Car-Tunes on TV or Terror of Colorado Blvd.
