Iceland: Jökulsárlón Iceberg Lagoon

This lake at the foot of one of many tongues of the massive Vatnajökull glacier is filled with icebergs. Ice fragments the size of a truck regularly break off the glacier and slowly drift across the lake, all the while melting to smaller and smaller sizes. When they reach the other side, most pieces are about 1-3 m long.
