Marble Madness #3: Dark Swirl

    Newer Older

Another shot of one of my son's marbles on the windowsill.

This is a three-shot HDR processed in Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom. I'll probably wrap the series here for now ("The Marble Trilogy?"), though I have a few other ideas I'd like to try eventually and a couple of additional pretty cool shots from that afternoon.

    (Looks best when viewed large.)

Nice shot! I love how the light hits the subject as well as the shadow. Nice compo!

This really does look great in large size, you can see much more detail. The interior of this marble reminds me of a fish (but a different angle from yesterday!). I also like the little light reflection on the surface..beautifully captured!

The contrasts and light are fabulous! I would never have known this was HDR and that's the only way I like HDR if I do at all. I enjoyed this trilogy and your creativity, Peter!

You are proving that minimalism is king with this series.

Really like how the shadow line cuts through the image and is punctuated by the small burst of marble color.

Very interesting lighting and reflections in this one. I think #2 is my favorite! Can't wait for the next trilogy!
