Fire danger period

A day after a fire ripped through Seaton in Gippsland situated in eastern Victoria. One person died and about 21 houses were lost. The Aberfeldy-Donnellys fire, as it become known, took over one month to contain and burnt about 85,200ha of land. Prime Minister Julia Gillard visited Seaton about a week after the fires. She said, "Whether it's bushfires, whether it's floods, we are being challenged by nature."
