Bruno
Bruno was released to the Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue group in the Conroe, PetSmart. The woman who brought him in did not even have a leash for him. He smelled horribly from infection and was eaten up with rashes, red skin and had lost his beautiful coat. I wasn't there, but I was told that everyone stopped and stared at that woman and Bruno; no one could believe she could let him get so bad.

He was sick for a good while as the rescue group started him on meds to remove hookworms and all other beasts. He had horrible infections all over his skin.

I believe I met him about 5 or 6 months later. We were new to the rescue group and agreed to foster him.

HELLO, MY NAME IS HEATHER AND I AM A FOSTER FAILURE.

Bruno was adopted in August '06. He has several areas on his underside that will never grow hair again and we still fight rashes and some form of allergy we haven't nailed yet, but he has graced our family.

If you have a love for Pyrenees, look to your local, or nearest, rescue. You can't imagine the need.
