Brighton Typewalking
An ongoing project to document lettering, typefaces, fonts, calligraphy and handwriting through the streets of Brighton — photographing my hometown through its vernacular typography.

In the same way that Brighton's architecture encompasses buildings from the Georgian and Victorian eras, and travels through the 20th century right up to the present, its typography ranges through hand-lettering, carving and metal casting to include present-day technologies such as laser vinyl letter cutting and digital printing. It is this mix of different aethetics that forms a central part of Brighton's vibrancy.
