It is so easy being green

A small frog; one of many sitting on the top of Sedum flowers by a creek in a garden just north of Tenterfield. The garden was open for the Open Garden scheme; I have never seen frogs be quite so conspicuous. The flowers were crawling with honey bees and black wasps feeding on the nectar.

It's an Eastern Dwarf Tree Frog (Litoria fallax). This species will bask in the sun, and are one of the few species that are easily visible in the day.

I now recall I have seen this species before by the creek coming out of Basket Swamp; 20km or so north of here.

I love the contrast between the flowers and this little guy.
