Dog vomit slime mould

This extraordinary organism is the fruiting body of slime moulds. In this case the mould has climbed onto the tops of two mushrooms to form the fruiting body. These fruiting bodies occur regularly in our garden, usually in association with some kind of organic mulch of which we have lots to conserve water.

Articles on them are at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slime_mould
