Riverdance Dance for Hospice Foundation

Riverdance pop up performance outside the Gaiety Theatre to announce details of a charity 24 hour Irish DanceAthon in aid of the Irish Hospice Foundation which will take place at the Gaiety on 21st July. Today dancers from Riverdance gave passers-by a taste of the show, as they performed 3 numbers ahead of the show opening for its summer season at the Gaiety on 14th June. At 12 noon on 21st July dancers from the Riverdance troupe will kick off 24 hours of continuous Irish dance on the plaza outside the Gaiety and over the next 24 hours Riverdancers and Irish dancers from a number of dance schools will take part. Those passing by are invited to donate to the charity, maybe join in the occasional ceili and follow the event on social media #Riverdance #DanceAthon The Irish Hospice Foundation supply vital 24 hour night nursing care in a family's home and this 24 hours of Irish dance aims to highlight their round the clock work.
