      very cool. i remember the clash from my high school days. along with the sex pistols, the ramones, p.i.l. (public image limited- johnny lydon's group- i was really into sex pistols and PIL) and a slew of others! too many to name.

      Love love LOVE this album. An all time "desert island" classic for me!

      Clampdown was my favorite....haven't heard it in a while....perhaps I need to download it immediately!

      hey jade4u new wave bands had an energy and raw edge that the music scene needed real bad, I was lucky enough to see the sex pistols first ever gig, and the jam also, great times.
