Rodenstock XR-Heligon 50mm f/0.75
Rodenstock used to make lenses for use in medical X-ray imaging. These lenses are very fast. Such lenses do not come with any standard camera mount, but an adapter can be custom made such as to utilize them on modern digital cameras. However, the lens can not be focused to infinity.

After a long search, I finally got myself a Rodenstock XR-Heligon 50mm f/0.75 lens.
I had an engineer modify a Nikon E2 extension ring which gives me a standard Nikon F mount.

There are no aperture of focus rings on this exotic. So the lens has a fixed magnification ratio, and focusing is performed by moving the lens and camera backwards and forwards with respect to the subject. Of course, some extension tubes can be used to increase the magnification ratio.

As seen from the examples here, the depth of field is literally razor thin. The rendition of the defocused elements behind the focal plane is extremely smooth. In other words, this lens has beautiful bokeh. My main use of this lens is abstract flower photography.
