Tibetan Prayer Flags on a High Pass

In the remote areas of Zanskar valley, in the region of Ladakh, north India, at altitudes of 4,000-5,000 meters, where the gods must live, the Tibetan flags mark the high passes and send blessings to all beings.

This photo was taken as I crossed the Himalayan and Zanskar range by foot in the summer of 2005, a 3-week trek, an incredible experience, inspiring and nourishing.
