Grand Canyon Sunrise

Grand Canyon experienced a rare winter temperature inversion on November 29, 2013 that filled the canyon with clouds. This particular inversion was particularly unusual, in that the sky above remained clear, while the canyon contained rolling clouds. Video of this phenomenon can be see here:


Even the park rangers were standing around gawking. This is apparently a 10 year event.
