"Big in Japan - Best Traditional" trophy design for BrickCon 2010

    Newer Older

    This is the last of the BIJ trophys that I have to build for BrickCon. It was a toss-up between just sticking my ninja on the base, or doing something relatively original. Thankfully, originality won out! Behold, one Zen garden with Tori arch. Not bad for an hour's work.

      Love that japanese style building, I'd love to build something like that.

      how can torii be spelled wrong when it doesn't even come from an greco/roman alphabet?

      Anyhoo, this thing makes me feel peaceful just looking at it. Might have to make one for my room.

      Nicely done. Put a small bird on top and you'd have a tori on a tori.

      Oooh...pretty. Someone's going to be a very happy winner. Well, they'll be happy because they won, but then they'll be happy again because of this. You know what I mean. Never mind. ;)

      @scruffy: Probably because in Japanese it's pronounced "tori-i" (two syllables).
      @heather: We're all winners here <choke> ;-)
