Did you know that the average depth of the ocean is 3,795 meters while the average height of land is 840 meters? Not that it's a contest, but...winning!
The adaptations of animals living in the deep sea are amazing. For example, this deep-sea fish, Photostomias guernei, has a built-in bioluminescent "flashlight" it uses to help it see in the dark. How cool is that?
