DSC_0344

A series of tunnels and trestles allowed the trains to run from Lapwai out onto the Camas Prairie. A series of tunnels, including one 1/4 mile long in a horseshoe shape would have taken David from the elevation of 805 feet at Spaulding to entering the Camas Prairie at the town of Reubens at an elevation of 3535 feet.
