Calendar from an Italian coffin manufacturer

    I'm slightly disturbed by this... I'm not sure if I should be excited by the naked ladies or mournful for the dead people in the coffins. Or, are the coffins for the naked ladies and something really bad is about to happen to them? This could be a really good/bad horror movie script.

    This image made me laugh for longer than is probably appropriate. This will not help to ease the jokes about necrophilia and undertakers at all. I know I would think twice about leaving Grandma if I saw this calendar on the wall at a funeral home!

    Italians have a very dark sense of humour. All that's missing is the tirimisu!

    Would Peter Lawford or any of the rat pack have such a calendar? Or is this the long term time piece outlawed from the workman's shop in the progressive university?

    Para morir contento..

    @Piberto - LMAO!
    fyi - "para morir contento" = to die happily

    thought they were surf boards, which is a little more normal.

    What a great place to rest your bone.

    Why am I not surprised?

    I'm having trouble deciding what the point of the calendar is. Is it to make this manufacturer's coffins appear sexier, so maybe you choose this if you are younger and planning your funeral or so young family members of the deceased invest; or, is it some kind of fetish thing for undertakers? Thoughts?

    This makes me think of the work of Art Frahm (1907-1981) and his "ladies in distress" series. Thank godness for elastic waistbands! www.thepinupfiles.com/frahm.html

    Disturbing oh yes, and intriguing. Who would hang this on their wall? It is also like necrophilliac prepping..
