Yellow Eye Detail

I wouldn't normally post an image with part of the beak obscured but this Yellow Eyed Penguin (Hoiho, Megadyptes antipodes) was at it's nest & a 400mm was a bit too close & affected by the grass that was waving across the front of the nest. I've posted it because I really like the eye detail. It was quite dark & I was handholding the 400mm at 1/40sec. The other images I took at 100mm. This was taken at the Te Rere Penguin Reserve in the Catlins. I was there on Saturday with a small group of volunteers for the annual census count.
