ECB Conference 2009: Bullying
The New York State Educational Conference Board's fourth annual policy conference focused on "21st Century Bullying and its Implications on Schools."

The symposium brought together school officials, parents and education organizations to discuss and share preventative measures and successful programming to end bullying in our schools. Comprised of panel discussions, topics included identifying bullying, cyber bullying and support services.

Kevin Jennings, Assistant Deputy Secretary for the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Safe and Drug-Free Schools, delivered the keynote address. Speakers included Catharine Bradshaw from Johns Hopkins University, Mary Jalloh from the NYS Center for School Safety, Maurice Elias from Rutgers University. Board members from local districts were also on hand to talk about successful programs in their school districts.
