Extended Range C-17s at 105th Airlift Wing
The 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard base welcomes two extended range C-17 Globemaster III aircraft to its fleet. The planes can fly more than 6,000 miles before refueling as opposed to 4,000 miles for the standard version. The new aircraft make the wing more flexible and capable of taking on different missions acoording to Col. Timothy LaBarge, the wing commander.
