Jacob Javits Center, NY - Mulit-Agency Joint Task Force Javits team members continue to carry out the vaccination mission after breaking a single-day record yesterday by administering 13,432 vaccinations in a 24-hour period in support of state efforts to provide mass COVID-19 vaccinations by the New York State Department of Health at the Javits Convention Center in Manhattan, New York, March 7, 2021. During the day, the Pfizer vaccine is being administered, and the one-shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine is being administered during overnight operations from 9pm – 6am at the Javits Center and Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
The New York Military Forces (NYMF) has close to 500 Guardsmen and women deployed to the vaccination site comprised of the New York Army National Guard, New York Air National Guard, New York Guard (State Defense Force) and the New York Naval Militia. The NYMF are providing logistical, medical and administrative support to The New York State Department of Health who are leading the vaccination efforts as part of Operation Covd-19.
