Chromatic Circles

DOT Art partnered with DOT Bikes to present a barrier mural along the jersey barriers that protect the Franklin Street bike lane between Quay Street and North 14th Street in Brooklyn. In response to the agency’s Green Wave plan, DOT Art aimed to highlight the new safety initiative by increasing the number of murals painted through Barrier Beautification. Titled, “Chromatic Circles,” the cinematic sequence, inspired by the movement and repetition of pedestrians and cyclists, abstracted the movement of wheels into a series of chromatic rings.
