Deadly accurate and sharp

Shot at 1.8 - That Zeiss T* lens itself certainly feels sharper than the Canon 1.8. How much better tho? This lens resolves individual eyelashes.. not bad. View large see the original zoomable version here

The difference is probably more visible wide open. This one was shot at f4 on the Canon 85 1.8. Hard to best.

      This lens is indeed sssharp

Interesting esoteric notes on focusing for the geeks from a reviewer not so enthused about that particular Zeiss lens

I like this matter of fact portrait. I'm not interested in this level of analysis of lens sharpness. Most images are modified electronically by the cameras and the further with raw and PS, that whatever small advantage one lens has over another, is lost in the electronic shuffle.

@morris - yep totally agree - have to confess the gearhead in me loves that precision feel and knowing about all the tech involved, not to forget history - nothing to do with artistic imagery I know ... Still - HCB did shoot with the best he had available - and similarly painters did use and strain to develop "best" pigments at all times

@pit - thanks - not difficult, but she was an interesting though private person ..Can say she is from Columbia and we were discussing how bad the security situation was there.
