Male Red-winged Blackbird (wonder if this is a youngster? no red on his wings yet and the yellow is hardly there too)
We had really dense fog yesterday! Around 3 PM it lifted in town so I went to the refuge hoping that it may have cleared a bit there too but nadda, kinda figured, the weather is hardly ever the same at the refuge as it is in town, especially under less than ideal circumstances. The refuge is located in a valley, probably right at sea level.
So I played around in the fog. When I got there the visibility was about 25 feet, by the time I left, about 2 hours later, the visibility had dropped to around 10 feet.
It was interesting and fun to play around, had to dry off my lens a few times though.
It really had my technical mind going because it's not as easy as putting the camera into AP or SP and go off and shoot :)
