Giant Velvet Worm?

Tasmanipatus barretti (Giant Velvet Worm) in all it's awesome glory. This is the largest of the twenty species that are estimated to occur within Tasmania.

This species is listed as rare under Tasmanain state legislation and is restricted to a range of 600km squared in the north east corner of the state.
