    the Legend of the Dogwood tree, It is said these flowers also have meanings to them like every other flower. The mythical meaning of the dogwood flower is that the tree was chosen to provide wood for Jesus Christ's crucifixion. However, the tree was unhappy about this cruel act it was forced to do, and thus Jesus after being nailed to it, told it this;
    "Because of your regret and pity for my suffering, never again shall the dogwood tree grow large enough to be used as a cross. Henceforth it shall be slender and bent and twisted and its blossoms shall be in the form of a cross, two long and two short petals. Love the soft lighting and the green of the leaves brings it all together for me. Great capture!

      I like this a lot Tamara. In particular I like the fact that it has a limited colour pallette of greens and creams against an essentially mono background......it is like selective colour in a way but less artificial. The light is pretty cool as well.

      I don't know if you have processed this image by selective colouring or de-selective colouring but regardless it is beautiful - love this shot and your information was unknown to me! Love it BIG style, Tamara!
