The butchers

Annie Silvester and Roy Craven are butchers at Morrisons supermarkets.

 

Annie worked her way up to be a department manager after just two and a half years on the job.

 

"I've been working as a butcher for three years since joining Morrisons. They put me through a butchery apprenticeship which went through everything from carcasss breakdown to a trip to the abbatoir.

 

"I like the fact that I have a skill for life and I can take my certification anywhere. It's nice to get the opportunity to progress through the company"
