Deadliest Roadside Bombing

    Newer Older

    August 3, 2005
This is the horrific scene I witnessed as I escorted our corpsman down the road to see if we can help. So far, this is the deadliest roadside bombing in the Iraq war.

1 Marine survived, 14 did not.

Lesson for America, you cannot drive a tank into a village square and say "We have liberated you! You now have Democracy" and expect people to love you.

If Communists drove a tank into your town square and announced you now have a new and better system of government how many Americans would welcome them with flowers and open arms ?

^^^ only you! I would fight to death. Fact is we saved the french(will not cap f) twice no matter what the casualty rate was, both times french were Going to lose the war and their country if we did not step in. Take your gay mask off or do like resembling terror?

The "Gay Mask" I assume you are referring to was given to me by one of the US special forces troops I had the pleasure of working with.

If you think US troops are terrorists or gay then I would suggest you tell it to their faces not hide in an online forum.

How many times have you seen operational service waveslide ?

PS 2 world wars and the US was late both times and came in after the heavy fighting was done, this is not a slight against US troops they are as brave as anyone else but they are badly led and treated like shit by their government.

Now go away learn some world history and come back when you have grown up a bit.

PS a great American general once said "Only a fool dies for his country, it is better to make some other dumb bastard die for his country instead, that is how you win a war" Looks like you were the fool he was talking about.

I am not the one who hides behind a mask. I call B.S. on a Spec op soldier giving you a mask you can buy at any Army/Navy store. I did not EVER say US troops are gay( learn to read) just your mask and by wearing one does not mark you as a soldier dipshit. As a matter of fact I did serve 6 yrs as a Corpsman(HM3 FMF) with the USMC so F-Off. By your rhetoric you do not sound like a former service member, more like someone who services members.
You post your foul comments on a pic from a Marine who fought hard and lost friends, which shows absolutly no respect for their sacrafice. If you are or were in the forces you are definatley not someone I would want protecting my 6.
      We saved france twice- period.

In what way are my comments disrespectful of any soldier ?

Yours denigrated you allies in 2 world wars I fail to see how that is showing any respect for the dead ?

Please highlight post any disrespectful comments I have made about any person who serves to defend their country.

The combat photographer that was there that day won some journalism awards from his imagery taken at the scene.

All I got was a digital camera from GQ.

is there a difference between combat reporter and war correspondent?

    10. jdubfudge 63 months ago | reply

GeirBergh- Not much really. Combat photographers and reporters usually document or report on the actual combat itself. War photographers and correspondents usually report on and document the affects the war has on the region.

Hi - I am creating a video for You-Tube that will link to a website. The purpose is to outreach to families and veterans of war, any war. The song for the video is entitled: PART OF MY PAST and is a beautiful song about letting go and healing. Additionally, I am writing a book entitled: Her Silent Hero, relating to my father's Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and how it affected my life growing up. This is totally non-profit. Are willing to allow me to use in the Video? Credits and links to your site will be posted on my website. This photo is horrifying.

This is a horrible loss of life. These Marines deserve your respect. You dont have to agree with the war, but respect the men and women who put thier life in harms way to do a job nobody wants to do. I am in the army and it ticks me off when people dont at least show respect for fallen soldiers.

ret you really think we're there for oil? if so why haven't we seen a drop of it.. the price of gas is low now because the economy is in ruins.. these boys deserve so much more than they're getting... it made me so mad this morning when I found out Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize while our soldiers in Afghanistan are being totally ignored! Maybe since he got his award they'll get some attention.. nobody gives nobel peace prizes to war mongers....
