Star Burst Leo

After making the polar graphs of the other sudokus I was unsatisfied because they have too many data points to plot in a single chart. So I found some other patterns that solve with 70,000 datapoints or less. "Star Burst Leo" (above) solves after visiting 16,127 cells. The other is "Star Burst Regulus" which solves after visiting 65,920 cells.

The exhaustive search routine is a lousy way to solve a sudoku, but I just wanted to see if any interesting patterns emerge. In Leo the pointer zips through the first three rows very quickly then spends a lot of time in rows 4 - 8, then pops out for the solution.
