Seiko SNK809/SNKH63 Hybrid
I've always loved the SNK809's dial and hands but the small case and 18mm strap turned me off. Then Seiko released the SNKH63 which has a slightly larger case and 20mm lugs and I thought "oh this is going to be perfect" but the slight tweaks they made to the dial (inverting the triangle and using a more modern font) and hands really ruined it. So I yanked the dial/hands out of the SNK809 and transplanted them into the SNKH63.
Here I have it mounted on a shell cordovan one-piece strap in color #8 from Myron at WUS.
This is by far the cheapest mechanical watch in my stable but it gets more wrist time than anything other than my Seamaster. An honest, unassuming workhorse.
