Black Forest bag

I bought another pattern - this time the 'black forest'-bag from melly&me.

What a nice bag! So simple and neat and over the top cute. Not at all difficult, just lots of pressing and top stitching going on. Simpler than the sherbet, really!

And a good one to get started on all the lovely fabrics from far away, I am far too good at keeping. But for this one, I only have to use small amounts of each - then it is OK, I tell myself, I still have something left!

Fabrics used are - aside from the old and very red sheet lining the bag, and the brown flowery one, which is from 'stof&stil' in Denmark - 'groovy guitars', 'downtown dots' and 'carrots and peas.' I love the downtown dots....

The buttons look like leather, but at carved in wood - really lovely. Found them in a thrift store and got them for next to nothing. :-)
