The Davenport Hotel
After breakfast we headed to Spokane for some sighseeing. We wandered around the lobby of The Davenport Hotel, which has been spectacularly restored. All along the walls they had photographs from the opening years of the original hotel, and some items the 1915ish visitors would have been able to use (room ammenities and menus, that sort of thing).
The old photos were great, but the fact that you were often standing at the same vantage point the photo had been taken made them fascinating. This made them so much more than oldey timey photographs.
