Pattern/tut: Wrap thingie

Before starting a project, read through the entire pattern text. If there is something you do not understand, this pattern may not be for you. I do not offer pattern support on my free patterns.

I got the idea for this from the owner at a LYS.

I loved it so much I had to write down a pattern.

Pick a yarn, preferably a thick, stretchy, fuzzy one.

Check your yarn, needles and gauge.

Cast on a number of stitches which will give you a knitting that is appr.25cm (10”) wide.

Knit moss stitch:

Row 1: knit 1, purl 1. Row 2: knit over purl stitches, purl over knit stitches. Repeat rows 1 and 2.

Continue for about 70 cm (28”).

Bind off.

Sew A and B together.

Stretch into shape.

I used a thick yarn in 100% alpaca called Kolibri from Filtes.

I cast on 20 stitches on 8 mm needles. Then I knit in moss stitch until I had I used up almost 100 grammes, leaving enough for binding off and sewing together.
