    The parental Mk IV Ford Zodiac and my Singer Chamois ready to set out for the Summer holidays. My sister found these shades of the past and scanned them.

      I'm sure the puddles were nothing to those awaiting us in North Devon. (This photo was taken from the family home in Kent.) But we enjoyed North Devon so much that twenty two years later we gave up our London architects' practice, bought a farm in North Devon and lived happlily ever after.

      Yes, five; three girls, two boys. I have access to the camera again (Karen had taken it to a wedding in Calcutta!) so photos coming up.

      It wasn't a Sports Imp but I had de-cambered the front wheels, fitted an anti-roll bar, increased the size of the inlet valves, fitted a high lift camshaft, Sports exhaust manifold and exhaust system and a twin choke Weber carburetter. It went quite fast and held the road pretty well.
