St Mary, Creeting St Mary, Suffolk

Hilltop church, visible for miles and a familiar sight from the A14. There were once two churches in the churchyard, but when All Saints fell into ruin they demolished it and built an aisle on St Mary.

St Mary has a fabulous range of Kempe glass, probably the best in Suffolk. There is also a very good 1950s window by Brian Thomas.

This used to be a very difficult church to get into. I have been trying on and off for ten years! But there seems to have been a change of heart.
