St Edmund, Fritton St Edmund, Norfolk

A beautiful thatched and round-towered church set away from the busy road which thunders through the village. One of the best Norman chancels in East Anglia, a match for Hales. Fascinating wall-paintings include the martyrdom of St Edmund, and there is a good collection of modern East Anglian Saints.

Until 1974, the parish was in Suffolk.
