Madonna and Child
St Mary, Preston, Suffolk
1860s glass by Ward & Hughes.
Preston church was rebuilt in the 1860s, apart from its magnificent 15th century south porch. It is home to Suffolk's only set of Elizabeth I royal arms (there are four sets altogether in East Anglia).
It was the home church of the 17th century antiquarian Robert Reyce, and contains his extensive collection of medieval heraldic glass.
