Tea time

White tents and supporting guy ropes. To the right of the nearest tent, a trestle table has been laid out. There is also a table outside the other tent. The table is laid out with a white tablecloth and cups and saucers. In the middle of the table is a tin of biscuits and a plate of cake. There are three uniformed men with canes sitting at the table all smiling into the camera. Two differently uniformed soldiers are waiting on the table- one is pouring tea or coffee and the other is waiting with a tray.

There is a marked difference here between the conditions and lifestyle in the trenches and the atmosphere displayed here by this photograph. As a result this may have been used as positive propaganda by the Army.
