4 o'clock on a Sunday?

This strangely self-conscious group was photographed at the bandstand on Fort Hill, Enniskillen at 4 o'clock according to the beautifully ornate clock, and perhaps it was a Sunday too...

Thanks to eyelightfilms, we know this bandstand still exists. Wonder if it was as brightly painted back when this photo was taken? And eyelightfilms also found us an inscription on the bandstand, as it was erected in honour of Thomas Plunkett:

"Erected by Public subscription in grateful appreciation of the services rendered to the town by Thomas Plunkett. M.R.I.A. who during his chairmanship of the Town Commissioners 1882 to 1885 and 1888 to 1894 transformed and beautified these grounds and carried out many other improvements for the promotion of the health and comfort of the community. A.D.1895"

Date: 1896?
