Diaphalene for dainty lingerie

This is Mr John Brennan with his son, happily posing in the door of his drapery shop at 27 Barronstrand Street, Waterford (thanks Niall McAuley and desmondg47) now occupied by National Irish Bank.


I thought that the little guy looked familiar, and here's the whole family taken 7 months later.


Both window displays proudly proclaim John Brennan's stocking of all things Horrockses (and the mysterious Diaphalene), and there's great evidence of 1920s material, voile and curtain pricing in the right hand window, all prices presumably by the yard...
