JT Keahey

At the southwest end of the property of the abandoned Klutts Farmhouse sits the Lawhorn Cemetery. This cemetery is still in use, but there are graves dating well back into the 1800's there, including those of the the family of "JT Keahey", whose name can be seen on the custom made gate of this fenced-off, private family plot within the cemetery.

According to an 1881 copy of Dallas County records, Mr. Keahey was a farmer in Duck Creek, which was listed as being "15 miles N.E. Dallas Greenville Road". He also appears to have bought a Poland-China Swine in 1895, according to an online copy of a log of swine sales. That's all I know about him!

Really need to view this one large on black to see all the shadow detail.

Night, full moon, CTO-gelled X2000.
