Flame-Polishing MX Brown Stems
This photo documents my attempt to eliminate "scratchiness" in MX switches by flame-polishing, a finishing technique which is commonly used with acrylic to smooth out surface imperfections by quickly passing a hot flame across the surface. Here are three stems from Cherry MX Brown switches. The stem on the left is untreated. The stem in the middle is flame-polished. The stem on the right is overcooked.
