This is pretty, Justin! I like the sky and clouds. I also like the title of the picture. I thought that the Badlands trail was closed due to the birds nesting there. Has it been reopened?

Thanks. According to the site: "Badlands Rock and the surrounding quarter mile is closed for prairie falcon nesting from March 1st to August 31st unless otherwise noted. " I tend to try different trailheads each time for variety and I never get that far in before it gets dark (with all the stopping :)). But I'll avoid that area. I haven't really explored a lot of the trails yet, I usually do small loops near the trailhead since I start out after work. All shots are pretty much trailside, off trail is so soft and seems so delicate, I hate walking on it.

This is nice. I've never seen a decent sunset in the Badlands, but you're building a pretty nice collection of them.

Didn't know they closed off the area around Badlands Rock. Must be a new restriction. That's kind of a bummer. Good for the prairie falcon, though.

Great texture and color in the clouds. Nice contrast control as well. A great shot from a great place!
