This year the theme of the Water Day is Transboundary Waters: Sharing Water, Sharing Opportunities. Across the world millions of people live without access to safe water, while millions of children die every year from water-borne diseases that can be prevented. This year the Maldives is facing a drinking water shortage because it has not rained for months.
