definitely. Zeppelin would be the icing on the cake in concerts for me. Seeing Bowie and NIN together was originally my concert highlight but that was because a Zeppelin concert never seemed it could be a reality.
Now I hear they may tour without Plant. May as well go see a cover band.

In a sense seeing Zeppelin should have been my highlight, but i think it isn't. I am lucky to have been there, and i would go there again anytime, but the fact that now i don't remember them as they were sort of bitters me. They did try their best, and it was an overwhelming performance by most aspects, but it didn't resemble what Zeppelin used to be in the 70s. All respects to Robert Plant for saying NO to the new tour. I heard about them going on tour without him ,so i thought to myself i could actually go on tour as Pink Floyd, just without the basist,drummer,keyboards(r.i.p)and guirist. Care to join me?
I feel so jealous that you have seen NIN with David Bowie. When they played in London last year i went on both the first and last show, hoping Bowie would kick in with i'm afraid of Americans. It would be such a cool encore after Down in it! My concert highlight would be Trent passing me the mic, during piggy. I was with a group of friends, witch which i watch the AATCHB dvd years ago, and we all said, how lucky is the guy that got the mic? So for that reason and only it was my highlight.

i just got to see the new tour (greenville,sc 11-01) and it was fucking awesome!!!! the pic of bush that went to mccain was great. and yes "larhule", consider that a big FUCK YOU!!!! you fucking idiot. get a life and quit using words that too big for your vocabulary

ph.art: I'm still envious. Would give just about anything to hear Kashmir (and pretty much anything off Physical Graffiti) live. I've been to concerts that should have been huge for me and have ended up being a let down in the end so I know what you're talking about. If they go on tour and Plant is in it I will take my chances.
Cool stuff getting the mic for Piggy. I can see why that would be a highlight. NIN never disappoints - at least the true fans.

      thanks man!
now theres ACDC playing in London,
but im not sure i want to attend. i think theres a time and place for everything, and sometimes its best to keep things in the past. i wouldn't say no to a free ticket though!

ph.art: I wouldn't be too worried about missing ACDC. They've pretty much recycled the same riff since Back in Black...kind of like the Stones have for the last 25 years

After skimming the first and last pages of this argument over this artistic display, I am fairly amused.

I'm not going to give you my opinion, as it isn't important. Some of you seem to have a problem realizing that your opinion isn't important either. The bottom line is that your opinion on this artistic display will be rooted in your opinions on politics (which may be non-existent or based in ignorance).

Oh, and politics, while a major factor, isn't the only factor in determining one's opinion on this statement. Other notable factors would be how you interpret the tone and intent of the statement.

When I said I wouldn't give you my opinion, I lied a little bit. It is in my opinion that some of you have interpreted the tone of this statement as more serious than it was meant to be interpreted, and I also believe that some of you have either not considered the intent of the statement or have come to the wrong conclusion as to what the intent of the statement is.

While I may be wrong, as I am not Trent Reznor, I don't think Reznor's intent with this message was to try and get his fans to run out and vote for Obama.

"The bottom line is that your opinion on this artistic display will be rooted in your opinions on politics (which may be non-existent or based in ignorance)"

Perhaps if you were able to separate the two you might realize that other people do the same quite often. I assure you, they do exist! You also state that the only possibilities for anyone's opinions on politics are "non-existent or based in ignorance". I assure you that there are people who fall outside of that tight bracket as well!

"Oh, and politics, while a major factor, isn't the only factor in determining one's opinion on this statement. Other notable factors would be how you interpret the tone and intent of the statement."

So now politics aren't the only determining factor? You just said that they were. (see above quote)

"It is in my opinion that some of you have interpreted the tone of this statement as more serious than it was meant to be interpreted"

Then please tell us how serious the tone ought to be taken, since you appear to have some closed-circuit communication with Reznor himself. Some examples of Reznor's light-heartedness might help your argument.

"I also believe that some of you have either not considered the intent of the statement or have come to the wrong conclusion as to what the intent of the statement is."

This begs the question: "What is the correct conclusion?" Certainly you're not just some cocksucker who tells people what is wrong without saying what is correct! Of course you wouldn't do something like that! That would make you a windbag, a fence-sitter or a coward (or all three!)

dude you are weird. were you the annoying person that always wrote too much bullshit for his essays, and never let anyone copy his SATs?

Hey, stop hating on Larhule! for being able to argue better than you.

Bush is giving Barack a briefing on the economy, presidency, etc., for his transition 2 the white house (the black house!). Do you see the humor in that? Politics @ its most polite.

I don't hate the guy. I don't even know him well enough to hate or love him, and yes he uses better words than I do, as English is not my first language, but that doesn't mean he can argue better. Too much blah blah tires me, just like his comments, with which I thoroughly disagree. I believe it's extremely selfish and arrogant to judge someone's work and tell them that your music was so much better when you were in your darkest period, fucked on drugs, than now that you ate clean and happy. Nobody knows how the system works, unless you are in it. There's an album out, if you like ityou buy it, if not then don't and let the big boys do the talking.
