Hong Kong Trip - 22-Jun-2018 to 27-Jun-2018 0003 Marked
This is my first time at the Kowloon Peak, even through I found out that it's very close to where I live, strange that I haven't been up there in so many years. Anyway, I didn't really hike up to the official viewpoint as it was quite a tough hike with all the gear I'm carrying and it seemed also that a power line tower was a prominent feature of the official viewpoint which I didn't care for at all.
This was shot right next to the carpark in front of the road, I had to crop it to a 617 ratio in order to crop out the foreground bushes and trees which looked annoyingly random after a long exposure. In hindsight I should have used a longer lens in the 50mm area 135 equivalent. Mine was shot on a 24mm equivalent and a little too wide for my taste.
As always, when shooting this kind of stuff, bring your tripod and umbrella during the typhoon season as the peak creates it's own weather and often could lead to short bursts of rain.
