Mosaic of M16, M17 and NGC6604 in HaOIIIRGB

This one was a real challenge to process. Especially balancing the overall FOV and the detail in especially the cores of M16 and M17.

In the end i'm really happy with this detailed overview of this region, as it shows many MANY interesting features.

Main objects in this FOV are of course M16 (Eagle Nebula), M17 (Omega or Swan nebula) and NGC6604. Also in this field of view is IC4701 above M17 and as said many interesting features like dark clouds and (open) star clusters. Check out the crops I posted separately of these objects for more info and detail :)

This is a mosaic of 3 panels shot with a monochrome D600 side-by-side with a modified 'color D600'.

The mono D600 was used on an APM107/700 with Riccardi reducer and modified Nikon D600 on a TS Quadruplet 480/80, mounted on Fornax 51 and guided with MGEN.
