Thank you! I love them, too. Just wish I had a wee one that could still use this desk!

OK, seriously this picture inspired me to go out and find a vintage desk! My little girl start first grade tomorrow and I had to have this for her when she does her homework! I just joined flickr due to this picture and I love ALL your photos! I wish I could buy this desk off you :)

    Hi Crissygurl,
Thank you for all of your lovely comments!! You CAN buy this desk. Not sure how I would ship it, though, as it weighs a ton! If you are truly interested in it let me know and maybe we could work something out...I could drive it halfway to you, etc. This darling little desk is just sitting on my enclosed porch, not being used. My daughter just turned 12 and is far too big for it!

I live in WNY...I think I'm about 5 1/2 hrs. from you...and would be willing to drive half-way.

You live where? sorry Im not getting WNY.......
Would you mind telling me how you achieved this look?
    What paint did you use?
What did you use to make the polka dots?
    did you prime?
    Did you seal?
    Did you sand it?

    Ha. Sorry,'s Western New York.
The desk was already painted when I got it ( a horrible mustard yellow color!), I just used pink spray paint on it - no sanding, no priming. I made a template for the polka dots, traced them on withe pencil and painted them free hand with oil paint. I sealed the polka dots because I figured if I didn't they would get dirty!
