Around the Bend
This is a "little" snow bridge right at the edge of a large crevasse. The lip you walk along drops offs steeply on one side down the slope and into the crevasse on the other. During daylight hours when you could see what to expect it wasn't so bad, but in the middle of the dark morning when I stop (because the Seth and rope ahead of me stop) on this little ledge and the wind is blowing at me fierce, it was a little spooky. We put in a picket with a running belay so as to offer a little protection. I took this picture only after Seth put in the picket, clipped in and declared himself "safe".
