Not open for visitors
Rooftops of the Honmaru Palace in the Nijo Castle complex. The Honmaru palace is an imperial (vs. Shogunate) palace, and was moved to this location in the late 1800's from the Imperial Palace grounds as part of the Imperial Court moving from Kyoto to Tyoko in the 19th century.
This is still belongs to the imperial family and is generally not open to visitors except for special occasions. It's apparently got lots of very cool artwork inside, so it would be nice to visit sometime.
